Student Grievance Redressal Committees (SGRC): 

In compliance with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, the Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) has been established at Maniben Nanavati Women’s College to ensure the effective resolution of student grievances in a transparent, fair, and timely manner.

 Objectives:

  • To provide a platform for students to raise academic and non-academic grievances.
  • To promote a responsive and accountable institutional framework.
  • To address complaints relating to admissions, examinations, teaching, infrastructure, harassment, discrimination, and other student-related concerns.
  • To safeguard the dignity and rights of students as per UGC norms.

Grievance Categories Covered:

  • Admission-related grievances
  • Delay in exams or declaration of results
  • Harassment or unfair treatment by faculty/staff
  • Infrastructure and learning resources
  • Discrimination on the basis of caste, disability, etc.
  • Refusal of documents (e.g., certificates, mark sheets)
  • Ragging (to be dealt with by the Anti-Ragging Committee if applicable)
  • Other academic, administrative, or personal issues

Grievance Redressal Mechanism:

Step 1: Students can submit their grievances via: Student Grievance Redressal Box (placed on campus) Online portal

Step 2: The Student Grievance Redressal will acknowledge the grievance within 3 working days.

Step 3: The committee will review and resolve the matter within 15 working days.

Step 4: If the grievance is not resolved satisfactorily, students may appeal to the University-level Grievance Redressal Committee or the UGC Student Grievance Portal (https://www.ugc.ac.in/grievance/).

 Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation:

  • All grievances will be treated with confidentiality.
  • No student will face any retaliation for filing a grievance in good faith.
