A LEADER IS ONE WHO KNOWS THE WAY, GOES THE WAY, AND SHOWS THE WAY

JOHN C. MAXWELL

NOTE TO THE YOUNG BLOOMING GIRLS BY Dr. KAVITA SONDE (VICE PRINCIPAL)

Independence meaning freedom
When our country established freedom from the rule of British we also got the right to read, the right to speech and right to movement.
But this one particular question keeps bothering me repeatedly, real meaning of freedom? What kind of freedom? Where is this freedom? Have we understood the real meaning of freedoms. Have we destroyed the meaning of freedom!
Our country is called a culture oriented country. Other countries sing laurels about our cultural values. Today we have forgotten the cultural values and started to imitate the values of western countries. Agreed, that change is the only constant thing but while we imitated values from these countries we forgot to use our intellect. Instead of adopting the good values of other countries and letting go of bad habits, we have been doing the opposite. For example our culture always promoted joint family system, we valued the elderly in our family. The family used to be filled with love. The elderly used to make sure the family stays together in peace and love. This culture has completely vanished. This cultural practices have evolved into nuclear and other alternative forms. The so called freedom has made the elderly of our family vulnerable. The kids are unable to experience the joy of stories narrated by elderly. The elderly who sacrificed their wishes and want during their young age have now no roof over their head and no shoulder to rely on.
Now let’s consider students, they are free to choose their field of study, the job they want yet they feel lost when they make wrong decisions. This causes depression amongst youth.
Today the respect is rare, I agree everybody has freedom of speech but humility, stating your opinion while respecting others opinion is also equally important.
There are many things which we can’t take for granted in the name of freedom. We have given all the freedom to our kids of choosing food but we haven’t told them how to know the difference between right and wrong foods. This has lead to obesity, under nutrition and deficiency disorders.
We have gifted kids the best innovation of technology- Mobile but we haven’t taught them how much to use. The mobile has caused many cyber crimes in the world.
In my life, discipline and control have helped me achieve heights in my life and at the same time freedom more than the required amount can only cause destruction.
No matter how much we celebrate freedom, we have lost our peace and happiness to freedom. Do you think this freedom will cause more harm than good? Do think about it.

Aazadi ka AMRIT MAHOTSAV

“Education is the highest purpose of man’s life

Which can be achieved through, NATURE CONTACT’

The objective of education is the freedom of mind

Which can only be achieved through path of freedom ‘’ -Rabindranath Tagore.

FREEDOM is a precious gift of our freedom fighter.”Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘’ means the ‘’elixir of the energy of freedom’’. The Amrit Mahotsav of freedom is the nector of the energy of freedom. The nector festival of freedom means the nector of new ideas, new resolutions, and the nector of self-reliance. We have scholars like Gargi and Maitrayee from the Vedic period but in many parts of India, womenare unable to move freely. The nation itself is conceptualized as feminine .She is Bharatmata. Are we free while travelling to and from school, college and workplace? Social norms may also limit women’s mobility, equality and education. It is difficult for women to learn leadership skills if they can not move freely in society. We have to find our solution to obstacles. We need to break the shackles of ignorance.

Girls if you want to grow and successful then you need to be educated .We must be able to see a human being as a human being. Yours is such formative and the most impressionable age which offers a tremendous potential for achieving the national goal .No more are women just in the medical field and teaching, they are now joining the forces as a soldier, a fighter pilot and command posting in the army. So Nector of life in true sense will be when many more women battalions who will inspire, women to be strong , confident and take care of themselves along with securing nation.
