Yoga Day Celebration
International yoga day is celebrated on 21st of June every year worldwide. Yoga is an ancient practice which brings together physical and mental discipline to achieve a peaceful body and Mind.
It is a form of exercise that is performed through diet, breathing and physical posture.
Maniben Nanavati women’s College (TCLV junior college) organized an event on international yoga day. The guest of the event was MS. Shobha Jain from Urja Yoga Kendra Anand Health Care Clinic Goregaon West. Shobha Jain is a home manager, a pranic healer and a practicing yoga teacher since last 10 years. Ms Jain along with her team members Mitsu Patel, Megha sakpal, and Neelam karney made the event very insightful by a talk on importance of yoga in daily life followed by a session of yogic exercises.
Ms Shobha further emphasized that yoga is a way of life which everyone has to practice in today’s stressful environment. It makes you physically fit and mentally strong to deal with the ups and downs in life and makes you a better, balanced, compassionate and loving person.
